“i’m not homophobic, i just think gay people shouldn’t—”
“i know i’m white, but i don’t see anything wrong with saying nig—”
“you’re so pretty for a dark—”“yeah i’ll use your preferred pronouns, but you weren’t born a —”
“if women didn’t want sex, why would they—”
omg
you know what people really underestimate?
the beauty of apologizing
like, i can’t speak for anyone else but personally a genuine unprompted apology is one of the greatest human expressions ever
creatures do terrible things to each other all the time but we are capable through language to illustrate our remorse for things that we have done wrong no matter how little they are
i mean don’t get me wrong, some apologies mean nothing compared to the calamity of whatever was done wrong, but small hurtful things in the world can be mended so casually if we just apologize - people talk about how humanity is so evil as a whole but personally i think that the capability to apologize in a language and mend things that are broken kind of disproves that
especially in parents. parents are only human, they make mistakes, and it is their job to be a figure of authority in your life. i really admire parents that are willing to admit their mistakes to their children when they happen but still endeavor to do their best in guiding them.
Six websites I go to when I am upset:
7) Can I just add this site because it can literally fix anything

“Alabama’s pretty much on board with interracial marriage, with 67% of voters thinking it should be legal to 21% who think it should not be. There’s still some skepticism in Mississippi though- only 54% of voters think it should be legal, while 29% believe it should be illegal”
people hwo think racism “doesn’t exist anymore” blow my fucking mind
